Products Sold by Vendor
Products Sold by Vendor groups the items you sold by their vendor, so you can see which brands or suppliers earn their place in your store.

How It’s Calculated
Each row is one vendor. The columns are:
- Vendor: the vendor recorded on the order’s line item.
- Items Sold: the number of items sold from that vendor.
- Gross Sales: each item’s price times its quantity, before discounts, shipping, tax and returns.
- Discounts: the discounts Shopify records on those items.
- Net Sales: Gross Sales minus Discounts. It leaves out shipping and returns, and adds no tax.
The table lists up to 100 vendors, with the highest Gross Sales first.
The vendor comes from the order, as it was when the item sold. If you change a product’s vendor later, past sales stay under the old one.
An item with no vendor recorded isn’t listed, so the rows can add up to less than your store’s sales. A blank vendor shows as (no vendor).
What Counts
- Orders that were canceled, or whose payment was voided or expired, don’t count.
- Refunds and returns aren’t taken off. A refunded item still counts as sold.
- Dates follow your store’s time zone, and amounts are in your store’s currency.
- With a Segment picked, only orders from customers in that segment count. Sales Channel and Filters limit the report to matching orders.
This report has no Compare control, no chart and no totals row.
What Good Looks Like
There’s no target. If you resell other brands, the report shows how much of your sales each one brings.
A big gap between Gross Sales and Net Sales on a vendor means customers bought its items on discount.
What to Do About It
- A vendor with high sales: check that you can restock it, and whether its terms still suit you.
- A vendor with low sales: compare it with the space and stock it takes.
- A big gap between Gross Sales and Net Sales: see which products drive it in Products Sold.
