Navigating Your Dashboard

The Overview Dashboard is your one-stop-shop for quick insights and data about your business. Designed to give you a snapshot of your most critical data, but allow you the flexibility to customize what you see to better serve your business’ needs!

To kick things off, let’s review your standard dashboard and what it offers at first glance. We have bucketed your data into what we call Report Cards to show you a high level glimpse of a bigger report. These cards include:

  • Total Sales: This shows the total revenue generated in the selected period, a fundamental metric for your business performance.
  • Average Order Value (AOV): By combining your total revenue and the number of orders, AOV gives you an insight into how much each customer is spending on average per transaction.
  • Returning Customer Rate: This report shows you the percentage of customers who have shopped more than once with you. It’s a great way to gauge customer loyalty.
  • Sales by Shipping Destination: Want to know where your products are popular? This report shows your total sales sorted by shipping destination.

Now, let’s take this one step further and review how to manipulate and customize what data is seen on these cards. At the top of your dashboard, you’ll see four drop down menus. These menus allow you to edit your data to show you a specific snapshot of your choosing. Let’s explore these in more detail:

  • Date Range: Specify the period for which you want to see data. This could be the last 7 days, the last month, or any other range you need.
  • Compare To: Choose a past period against which to compare your selected date range. This could be the same period last week, last month, or last year. It’s a powerful tool for spotting trends and changes in your data.
  • Sales Channel: Here you can select a specific sales channel (like your Online Store, Point of Sales or a Buy Button app .) or keep it set to 'All Sales' to see data across all your channels.
  • Segment: Choose to view data for a particular customer segment or for 'All Customers'. This option can help you understand how different groups of customers interact with your business.

These are just a few examples of how you can customize your dashboard to capture the insights needed to grow your business. Now that you know the basics, feel free to explore and edit your dashboard to ensure you’re seeing what matters to you and your business the most!
