How to Contact Support and Switch Stores
At the end of these steps, you’ve opened the support window from any page, or moved your By the Numbers session from one store to another. Both controls are in the top bar.
Before You Start
The store switcher shows only when your login belongs to more than one active store. With one store, the top bar shows that store’s icon and name as plain text, with nothing to select.
Contact Support shows for every signed-in team member. It doesn’t show in By the Numbers staff sessions.
Steps
Contact Support
- Choose the round icon with your initials, at the right end of the top bar. Its name is Account menu.
- Choose Contact Support.
The support window opens on top of the page you’re on, so you don’t lose your place. It’s a Help Scout window. By the Numbers tells it which store and which email you’re signed in with, so support can find your account.
On a report that has a help article, the window suggests that article first.
Switch Stores
- Choose your store’s name in the top bar, to the left of the Account menu. It shows the store’s icon, its name and a small arrow.
- Choose another store from the list. A check mark shows the store you’re in now.
The app reloads in the store you chose. Choosing the store you’re already in does nothing.
What Happens Next
After a switch, you stay on the same page when the other store has it. A page that belongs to the first store, such as a dashboard, opens the dashboards list instead. A product page opens the app’s home page.
Everything you see now comes from the new store: its numbers, its dashboards, its team and its integrations. Your permissions can differ between stores, since each store has its own team.
When you sign in with a login that belongs to more than one store, a screen called Choose a Store comes first. It lists your stores. Choose one to open it.
If a switch fails, an error appears and you stay in the store you were in.
